PHP Developer

Job Description:

Are you passionate about creating Great User Experiences with HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX?  Do you understand the social networking landscape, OAuth, OpenID, Facebook Connect. Are you a PHP (or other) Superstar? We're looking for that special engineer who has a nose for Design and User Experience, but who also lives and breathes PHP,MySql. You will be responsible for all websites.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Design, build and optimize user-facing features that scale to support millions of users.
• Build tools for analytics, content management, localization and to empower internal users.
• Work with our systems teams to design internal API. Create plug-ins to extend PHP frameworks.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a passion for front-end application development.
• Strong web systems fundamentals (caching, i18n, scalability).
• 2+ Years consumer-facing web application development.
• 2+ Years writing PHP applications. Strong knowledge of PHP5 and Object Oriented Programming.
• Familiar with at least one PHP Framework (Symfony, Zend, Cake) .
• Experience working in a Service Oriented Architecture.
• Resourcefulness in troubleshooting complex problems and finding elegant solutions.
• Comfortable working quickly and iteratively with little direction and loose specifications.
• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science preferred.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• You have built something on top of social media APIs such as OAuth, OpenID, Facebook Connect, etc.
• You program for fun in your spare time. Strong UI Skills (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) .
• Passion for tool building Knowledge about Paymentsystems.
• Used to slice/modificate graphics for the website - so you must know Photoshop
